Haven't updated in forever, so here goes.
Here's an interesting quiz. Kinda fun. Probably wouldn't take it too seriously.
What's your theological worldview? created with QuizFarm.com
You
are an evangelical in the Wesleyan tradition. You believe that God's
grace enables you to choose to believe in him, even though you yourself
are totally depraved. The gift of the Holy Spirit gives you assurance
of your salvation, and he also enables you to live the life of
obedience to which God has called us. You are influenced heavly by John
Wesley and the Methodists. |

| i hit a milestone! 75 workouts!!! (only 75 more to go this year!)

| hey all! after some encouragement i am updating after a month! i am faithful to read others blogs and sometimes comment. i much prefer face to face conversations. but most of us don't see each other much. isn't that the point of summit grovers?
anyhow, i really missed being at the summer retreat this year. it's been forever since i haven't gone. i remember coming to my first retreat at misty mount. i had only been coming to the fairborn fellowship for a couple months. i wasn't sure if it was the church for me. benj invited me to come to the summer retreat. it was so awesome. i loved hearing zac poonen speak in the meetings and at the lunch table. volleyball was a blast. jero serving jero. and i first met so many friendly faces, such as faith, christy, chris, sophie, and many others. and i'll never forget bro cc cleaning all the restrooms sunday afternoon -- how humble.
on another note, i got my second sinus infection for the year. thankfully i caught it early and am feeling much better today. i've been having a lot of these over the last year. i know sometimes i get too stressed and don't get enough sleep, but it seems like there's more to it. i went to an ears, nose, and throat doctor when i was a teen. he said i could have my adenoids removed, but recommeded i just put up with the occasional infection and soar throat. now i'm considering another visit to an e.n.t. doc. anyone have any experiences or advice to pass along?
i guess that's all for now.

| currently watching.... a movie about the life of mother teresa. http://www.excerptsofinri.com/mother-teresa.html
i saw this movie again on tv. though i've seen it before, i couldn't help but watch it again. there is something so amazing about a woman answered God's call on her life to see the needs of the poor in calcutta as most important. it almost makes me cry to think that someone could be so unselfish. it's inspiring, and yet at the same time i want to forget about her all together. i know that i can be so selfish. sure, we need to take care of ourselves when possible (eat well, sleep, etc.), but that's not the kind of selfish i'm talking about. mother teresa was apparently eager and bold in helping others (i.e., begging in the streets to get enough food to feed orphans.) yet, i can get in a bad mood when i'm inconvenienced by the needs of others around me.
sorry if i'm rambling. i guess what i'm saying is that we all want to believe that someone would be a mother teresa in our lives and lay down their life for us. can we catch the vision and be that someone for somebody else?

| read an interesting quote. it was from runner's world magazine -- a section called most inspiring running mantras. the quote came from an 83-year old runner at the finish line of his 25th honolulu marathon!
“The
pain of discipline is less than the pain of regret.”
